I previously journaled Alissa and Matt’s engagement photos which you can see here. They’re an adventurous couple that love the outdoors, and we knew that we wanted to take wedding portrait with an epic view.
We started off in Sacramento and made the four hour drive to Yosemite in the morning. None of us had been before so it was so much fun to explore together. We finally made it to Taft Point, Alissa and Matt bravely hiking in their wedding attire, and enjoyed the most epic views and sunset. I’m scared of heights, so seeing the crazy drop got my adrenaline pumping.
After the sun set, we hiked back in the dark with a group of strangers, swapping stories and trying not to get lost or eaten by bears. I believe if you’re on the fence about eloping, go for it. It is so memorable and personal, a truly magical experience.
