I haven’t blogged since BC (Before Covid) and a whole lot has changed in the world. Weddings and large gatherings have ceased and most of us have probably gained a new pet or two. I won’t delve too much into the Covid talk because we’re all quite tired of it, but one thing has not changed; Love. Love, family and relationships have kept us all going and this pandemic has highlighted how important that really is.
Adriana and James are two of the kindest, most hospitable people I’ve ever met and I’m so blessed to call them dear friends. They had the dreamiest backyard wedding that I got to attend as a guest. Every detail was thought out and with intention, from the stunning florals and tablescapes to the abundance of food and entertainment. It was full of romance and after being deprived of social interactions for so long, it was an extra special experience being a part of it.
The next day we hopped into Adriana’s SUV and took the 4 hour road trip from Phoenix to Glamis Sand Dunes in Southern California. We chatted and consumed far too many sourpatch gummies and hot chips. Once we arrived, I instantly fell in love with the sand dunes. It was magical to experience the strong breeze uniquely to the desert and then to watch the sun slowly set as the sky changed into so many rich varieties of colors. It was poetic to combine the ancient love story of the desert to the new union between Adriana and James. Enjoy!
